This is was my second time visiting Nashville but my first time visiting this restaurant. It was clean and inviting. The atmosphere was great.
We ordered over the phone and once we arrived there was a faux pas . The manager took care of the issue quickly. The food was tasty, and we do plan to visit again before our trip ends. We ordered a 7 meat Chicago pizza. They did a GREAT JOB.
Please be advised the thin pizza only comes in the personal size. -

Old Chicago has the feel of a chain pizza place. That means it's pretty predictably OK. You can expect the pizzas to be dependably fine but they're not spectacular. That being said, I like pizza so I go pretty regularly. The Chicago 7 is a good selection, plenty of toppings. The thin crust is good but I prefer the thick crust. I will say we ordered a single topping recently and the 1 topping (Italian Sausage) was pretty sparse. So it was mostly a cheese pizza.
My encounters with staff have been good and I have found most of the servers very pleasant and friendly.
They have a nice large selection of beers; draft, bottle, and can. So if you enjoy a brew this might be a good spot for you. It's always fun to have a large selection so those who want a sour ale or an IPA or a stout can all enjoy at the same spot. They do allow samples if you are venturing in to new territory.
OC also has a pretty good selection of burgers, sandwiches and salads (think sports bar-ish). I think they also do a buffet at lunch if you like those pizza buffets. -

Both for GrubHub and OC. Ordered food through Yelp at Hotel after late flight at 9:25 PM. Prepay, tip, etc.. Email that i will yet my food in 35-55 minutes. At 10:25 I call Old Chicago. My food had been ready for 20 minutes waiting for GrubHub to pickup. No call no nothing. OC tells me to cancel and reorder. I asked them to cancel and I would just drive the 1 mile to pick it up.
Drive and ask for food. It is brought to me (now prepared 30 minutes) and I need to pay because the original was cancelled. Waited for Manager for 10 minutes. Don't know why it was hard to come out as no one was there. I wanted to pay but instead left and got McDonalds next door.
Don't use companies that won't deliver and if someone takes the time to come pick up a delivery order themselves be respectful and apologetic. I got no response. -

Lousy service once ....I can tolerate, albeit by gritting my teeth. Lousy service a second time (with uber polite staff - who were not the ones at fault)....uh, sorry...I'm not sure we'll be back.
We called ahead to schedule a large group luncheon (25 friends, as we did a year ago). We arrived at 11:00 to avoid the lunch rush and were seated promptly. Courteous staff attended to our orders and needs as they arose fairly efficiently. However, utensils were late arriving, napkins were scarce and then there was the following:
Nearly everyone in our group ordered the lunch buffet. Nice selection and plenty to eat. Salads and soup that came with that were inconsistent in arriving at the table, but tolerable.
The biggest problem came with a few members of our group who wanted to order specific individual pizzas or other menu items due to dietary restrictions. It became very apparent - again as it did last year - that Old Chicago was totally unprepared for this. The people who ordered "off the menu" waited 40 minutes ! for their food to arrive. By that time virtually everyone else had finished or was nibbling on the warm chocolate chip cookies provided. (My question: did other diners who were not part of our group have to wait this long also?)
The response, from staff (which I found offensive)...."Sorry, but we have to keep filling the buffet first." That's balderdash! First order in....first order out. After all, it's pizza and likely bakes in the same oven.
At least warn guests ordering from the regular menu that they will not be dining at the same time as their tablemates. (Our friends took their pizza home in a box...)
Last year the Business manager suggested we give them another try. Well, we did and nothing has changed.
